What you’ll need to bring to your initial consultation

Please bring your Medicare card and if you have private health insurance, your health card. You’ll need to bring a referral from your GP or optometrist too. Anything related to your eye care will need to be brought along too: your current glasses, eye drops or any medication you’re taking.

Pricing

We can’t give you an accurate price for your procedure before we’ve completed your initial consultation. However, once we’ve had the opportunity to understand your eye condition, its progression, and its impact on your life and vision, then we will be able to give you an accurate price estimate.

The medical gap scheme

Dr Ryan participates in the “medical gap scheme”. This is designed to minimise the costs associated with private health care. This agreement caps the amount you are expected to contribute to your surgery. Most health insurance policies restrict this amount to a maximum of $500.
